     “Could you get in contact with her? If you tried?”

     “I suppose so. It might be difficult. She doesn’t leave her room often.” Those words panged at Eden’s heart. The thought of Dafne, who had so loved being among her servants, being outside on the veranda, in the garden, in the sun, of Dafne who was so vibrant and alive, being kept inside behind locked doors, broke his heart. 

     “I need to get a message to her. Can you do that for me?”

     Blaise nodded. “Yes. I can try.”

     Eden couldn’t help the smile that broke out over his face. The relief. They would be ok. Everything was alright. At least for now.
