A compulsive read, I found it hard to put down. Each of the mcs were very much grey morally, but it was impossible not to root for them.

The entire Elysian Chronicles series is full of so much heart, but I found this book in particular to be rich in compassion, love, empathy, and a desire for justice. Some of the scenes in this novel are—while incredibly powerful—emotionally difficult to read. However, the dark moments are balanced out by a great deal of light. The dialogue, characters, imagery, and plot are strong. What’s not to love?
